SOL: Happy TWOS-day!

It’s here, it’s here! I created this list last night, and I’m posting later than usual but… I have celebrated the heck out of 2/22/22. Aside from the 22 things on the list below, we had some silly fun in 7th period taking screenshots at 2:22 and taking selfies.

What a fun way to wrap up February SOL; see you all for SOLSC? 🙂

  1. Kiss my husband twice (or 22 times 😜)
  2. Celebrate my two children
  3. Seat my students in pairs
  4. Warm-up with a letter TO someone
  5. Read a two person scene in class
  6. Think through a two column chart
  7. Assign a couplets exit ticket
  8. Act silly in second period
  9. Take a selfie at 2:22
  10. Reminisce on my 22nd year of life
  11. Watch two episodes
  12. Sing my favorite two-ns
  13. Serve myself two helpings
  14. Drink two margaritas
  15. Sign on two minutes early to zoom book club
  16. Gulp down two coffees
  17. Ask two insightful questions
  18. Go to bed 22 minutes earlier
  19. Read 22 pages
  20. Take two random pictures of beauty
  21. Be begged to read two more books before bed
  22. Choose between two options

  1. So cool! I’m off this week from teaching but this would have been fun to celebrate with students! I didn’t think to do any of those things. I appreciate you sharing your ideas and celebration!

  2. Sounds like you had a fun day! The downside of being retired is I don’t pay too much attention to the date, so I missed that today was 2/22/22. I can still kiss my husband good night 22 times, though, thanks to your idea. 🙂

  3. I *love* this list! My third graders and I (if only it had been second grade!) took time at 2:22:22 to play the song “It Takes Two” and try some double-marker flip tricks.

Now. How many of your list did ya do?

  4. Oh, Britt, I love this. I was totally unprepared for Twos-day, so I didn’t have any plans. I just gave my husband two kisses based on your list. And I did solve the Wordle in two guesses today, too. Fun post! Thanks. (I’m looking forward to your poetry prompt tomorrow on Ethical ELA.)
