I want to write today’s post as why I’m Terrified, Guilty, Intimidated, Frightened. Seeing positively this week has been a bit difficult. I’m changing this week’s “fun” to practicing FAITH.

T- I’m Trusting
G- Grateful for this week
I- Inspiring me
F- practicing Faith

I’m TRUSTING that niche prenatal specialists know what they’re doing, know what they’re seeing, and know how to move forward.

I’m GRATEFUL that I live in Houston, TX where the need to schedule a prenatal cardiologist appointment means I only have to drive about 40 minutes max.

I’m INSPIRED by the front desk woman who saw me crying in the waiting room (at 7 months pregnant, wouldn’t you also cry that you hadn’t been seen by the doctor an hour and a half past your appointment time?!) walked over, handed me a ninja shaped stress ball, and talked to me until I felt better.

I’m practicing FAITH as I rely on my village to carry me through, to pray for my family. My cousin reminded me that all of this is no surprise to God. I’m resting in that.

So, friends, what’d your week look like? What are you trusting? For whom or what are you grateful? What’s inspiring you? How are you having fun and/or practicing faith?

I like this one! I’ll play along. T = I trust that my dog outside is NOT digging up the yard. G = I’m grateful for a moment or two to catch my breath. I = My students inspire me with their wisdom and insight. F = I have faith in my own moral compass.

I love these responses!!! “Faith in my own moral compass” is the one that’s lingering for me. I want to journal about that 🙂 Thanks for sharing, friend!

First, I pray that all will go well with you. As for me, I’m TRUSTING that my girl will find her path, I’m GRATEFUL that my mom is weathering this COVID storm, I’m INSPIRED by my students and their ability to shine and sparkle in trying times, and I have FAITH that I’m never, not ever, alone. Big hands hold me.
Thanks for the inspiration. I’m going to adopt TGIF!

What great way to reflect. I pray that everything is ok with the baby and you will find comfort and peace throughout your pregnancy. I reflected on this in my notebook, actually. T- Trusting that these vaccines will bring us back to normal life. Grateful that is finally spring break. Inspired by my students who are developing their passions. Faith- That God is making all things new, sometimes things have to look pretty broken so that God can rebuild it.

Jackie, your FAITH one gave me chills and got me kinda teary-eyed. You are so, so right. And I can’t tell you how much that speaks to me right now in this time of uncertainty for me. 😦 Happy spring break, friend!

As with others, Thoughts and prayers are with you. I am trusting that I will soon be able to spend some time with friends. I am grateful that we are getting our second shot tomorrow. I am inspired by all I see practicing safe measures. I definitely have faith that God will get us through all of this.

Your writing conveys an inner strength that we all see. I hope that you continue to show that strength, draw from your words, and the thoughts of those around you. It’s like a big invisible hug happening all the time! 🙂

Oh how I love the way you write. To answer your questions: T=my team will remain in tact after the RIF/Transfers are done for the fall semester. G=my significant other for 100% understanding why I’m so exhausted lately. I=my students. They are reminding me of my WHY. F=Spending this weekend reading some Spring/Easter Ideals books.

I’m also grateful that the front desk woman came over to comfort you and give you reassurance. Second-You’re in Houston?! I love so much about that city.

YES, the front desk woman was amazing. I stared at her while squeezing the stress ball and said, "uh..this is working? Why is this working? I don't feel the knot in my throat" LOL.

I'm in Houston, yes! You've visited? I LOVE my city!! May our paths cross one day 🙂
