Another welcome writing challenge! I had incredibly fancy goals and routine expectations for keeping up with blogging and writing – until this weird school year started.
When we began 100% virtual in early August, it meant working at every moment that Kyle and I were not switching between baby duty: feeding, changing, playing, napping, fussiness. Now that we are hybrid, the bone-deep exhaustion – and boredom, honestly – of physically being in the building makes it impossible to want to open the laptop once the work day is officially over.
Thanks to this gratitude haiku (#gratiku) challenge, I am able to continue writing every day with a focus. Not only is it powerful in forcing myself to recognize daily moments of gratitude, but it’s short and fun, too!
